With added few ingredients our regular roti can be restaurant style butter roti. This lockdown taught me lot of things. I have realized that how much money we spent on such things.

In weekend mostly all the families want something delicious to eat. It will be easy to cook at minimal time. Make one north Indian veggies like paneer masala, veg kolhapuri, dum alu,etc. serve it with these hot butter wheat roti. It would be one of the  delicious dinner .

Ingredients:

  • 2 cup wheat flour
  • 1 cup maida(optional)
  • 1 cup curd
  • 1 tspoon sugar
  • Salt as per taste
  • Pinch of baking soda
  • 3 spoon oil
  • 1 cup warm water

Process:

Take all ingredients:

  1. Mix both flour in vessel. Add salt & sugar mixed properly
  2. Add curd & pinch of salt.
  3. Take 1 cup warm water but add gradually
  4. Knead for 10 min.
  5. Take a tiffin keep in that for 4-5 hrs.

If you have not more time then wrap it in towel and place it in dark place.

After fermentation knead again for 5-7 min and make ball of that dough.

For garnishing take coriander & black sesame seeds .

Take one ball and roll in dusted board like our chapati garnish with coriander & black sesame seeds after that roll one more time so they are pressed in roti.

Put water with your finger on opposite side of roti.

Turned gas and put iron tawa. Now place our butter roti on hot tawa but keep water surface on hot side on it. Press it with steel palta. After bubble it on surface turned tawa towards flame and just moving circular direction. It roasts all over.

Takeout roti in plate and spread butter as per your taste. Serve with your vegetable gravy.
